Two years ago, 𝘽𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙮 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙤𝙬𝙣𝙚𝙧 𝙙𝙪𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙖 𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙣 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣🧴🐶 He was left behind, unwanted and unwell. Despite everything he had been through, Berry was gentle, affectionate, and full of quiet strength.

Over time, 𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐝. Not only physically, but emotionally ❤️‍🩹 He became one of the most beloved souls at our shelter. He gave his paw to everyone who passed by, greeted volunteers with soft eyes and a wagging tail, and always did his best to make us smile. 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗼𝗴, 𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 🏡

Last month, 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, weakness, loss of appetite and difficulty of breathing. We rushed him to the vet, where he was diagnosed with severe lung inflammation. It wasn’t cancer, but it was serious.

𝗪𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘆. He stayed strong, loving us through every moment of pain. But eventually, his tired little body couldn’t hold on any longer 🕯️ Berry passed peacefully due to old age and multiple organ dysfunction 🐾💔

𝗧𝗼 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀. Thank you 🙏 Your support gave Berry the care and comfort he needed in his final days. He didn’t leave this world alone. He left knowing he was loved ❤️

Though he’s no longer with us, 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘆’𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻. The remaining donations from his fundraiser are now being used to help other animals in our shelter, giving them the second chance Berry once received🐾💕

He may be gone, but his paw prints are forever etched in our hearts 💔🧡
