โ€œEverything was taken from meโ€ฆ and after that, I was left with nowhere to go…โ€

In another episode of interviewing our street friends, we met an uncle who is still physically capable and willing to work despite his age. Sadly, many employers turn him away simply because he is considered โ€œtoo old.โ€ During our conversation, he shared that all of his official documents had been stolen. Although a police report was lodged, there was little that could be done afterwards. Without identification and proper documents, rebuilding life becomes even harder.

Today, the streets have become the place he calls home.

We may not have been able to change his entire situation overnight, but we managed to hand him a small aid bag with basic necessities, hoping it could at least ease his burden for the next few days.

Sometimes, what people on the streets need most is not judgment, but compassion, dignity, and someone willing to stop and listen.
