📢 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮.𝗰𝗼𝗺 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘. 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝘁𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 🙏🏻
The Animal Welfare Act 2015 was passed with promise but 9 years on, the reality remains heartbreaking. Animals are still being beaten, burned, chained, poisoned, dumped, and starved ⛓️💔💀
📊 From 2021 to 2024 alone, 11,450 dog abuse cases and 5,715 cat abuse cases were reported, but how many of those abusers were truly punished? ⚖️
The problem isn’t the absence of law 📜 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, willpower, and urgency 🚫⏳
That’s why New Life Animal Shelter, along with other rescuers, feeders, professionals, shelters, students, everyday Malaysians, gathered shoulder to shoulder, not for politics, not for personal gain 💰❌ But because the silence has gone on too long.
🏛️ May the speeches given that day shake hearts and wake those in power, because these poor animals didn’t ask to be born in a world of suffering, while they are just trying to survive, like any of us 💔
