At 60 years old, this uncle still wishes to work and earn a living. But after a serious accident that nearly cost him his life, even working has become a struggle.

He once worked in elevator maintenance until a fall from the third floor left him severely injured. Despite surviving the accident, his injuries have affected his ability to work as he once did.

Today, he takes on part-time jobs just to get by. Yet, without SOCSO protection, he has no safety net to fall back on when accidents or unforeseen circumstances happen.

As he shared his story in our Street Friends series, it was heartbreaking to hear that even at his age, he still holds on to the desire to work and support himself, but his physical condition no longer allows him to do so as he wishes.
