Not every pain is visible. Some dogs come to us broken in ways we donโ€™t immediately see until itโ€™s too late to ignore.
Maggie is one of them. Over 7 years old and rescued from a breeding environment, what seemed like a simple limp turned out to be a long-term condition that has been quietly worsening over time โ€ผ๏ธ

๐Ÿ’Š We thought she had hurt herself while playing, so we gave her medication. But even after 6 days, there was no improvement.
When we brought her in for an X-ray, we decided to spay her at the same time since both procedures required anesthesia so she wouldnโ€™t have to go through it twice. This has already cost RM711.60.

๐Ÿ“‘ The X-ray revealed that her hip is dislocated, meaning the joint is no longer in place, making every step painful and unstable. On top of that, she has severe osteoarthritis, a condition that has developed over years, possibly due to genetics or repeated breeding ๐Ÿ’”

๐Ÿฅ Now, Maggie needs FHO surgery to remove the damaged bone, followed by recovery, medication, and physiotherapy to walk comfortably again. The estimated cost is over RM5000. With over 200 dogs under our care, cases like Maggie are beyond what we can afford to handle on our own ๐Ÿ˜ž
